Prime Tech and Peraton Successfully Deliver First Phase of Critical Cloud Migration Effort to the US Coast Guard

Prime Tech, with the support of Peraton, successfully completed delivery of a critical system migration to the United States Coast Guard earlier this month - a groundbreaking initiative that was delivered under a firm fixed price (FFP) agreement.  The successful delivery of Phase 1 represents the first migration of a major Coast Guard system to the cloud, and resulted in a significant performance boost to the Coast Guard Direct Access infrastructure.

“This is a huge accomplishment for Prime Tech,” said Kurt Sobotka, Prime Technical Services founder and Board Chairman, “we believe that the firm fixed price agreement model proved to be incredibly effective for this effort, as it provided Peraton with both cost certainty and risk mitigation throughout an exceptionally complex undertaking. This project is a testament to Prime Tech's capability to deliver these types of complex projects efficiently and effectively."

Phase 2 of the effort is currently underway via a follow-on work agreement, with Phase 3 anticipated to take the form of a larger system sustainment contract beginning in Q3 2024.

This venture represents the next in a series of existing partnerships between Peraton and Prime Technical Services in support of the Coast Guard and the Department of Homeland Security.  To read more about similar efforts Prime Tech is undergoing to support mission-critical initiatives in the DHS and other federal agencies, please click here.
